Fall 2008 Bible Studies and Groups
We have 12 small groups and Bible studies that meet each week this semester

Daytime Bible Studies

Sunday School Sundays, 10:10 AM (Chris Wilkins)
We meet at 10:10 a.m. in the front room of the Wesley Foundation, then carpool to church.

Seven Deadly Sins Tuesdays, 12:30 PM (Sarah Pate)
Cost of the lunch is $2.00, but you are welcome to come even if you don't eat. Some people bring food from the SFA cafeteria, some bring a sack lunch, and some eat before-hand and come just to participate in the Bible study.

Evening Bible Studies and Groups

Prayer Group Sundays, 7 PM (Shar Smith)
This group prays for the joy and concerns that are lifted up in worship each week and for any mentioned during the meeting time. It lasts 20-30 minutes. You are welcome to come by any Sunday to have them pray for you as well.

Song of Solomon Bible Study: Mondays, 7 PM (Tom Teekell)
Dating. Marriage. Sex. All great topics to talk about, but what does the Bible have to say about it all? Did you know there are sex scenes in the Bible? Did you know the Bible tells you the best way to date? How to choose a wife or husband? Join Tom and his wife Susan as they leave no questions unanswered in a Bible study so popular, they have to teach it every two years!

Food for Thought: Tuesdays, 5:00 PM (Chris Wilkins and Holly Harrison)
Cooknig on the grill every Tuesday night is part of this "extended devotional" Bible study. Each week costs about $2, depending on what's on the grill. Chris will cook and Holly will lead the devotional.

DGroup (Discipleship Group): Tuesdays, 7:00 PM (Shari Smith)
DGroup is short for Discipleship Group (not to be confused with Disciple Bible Study). Each week out of the month, the group focuses on a different aspect of discipleship (fellowship, service, Bible study, and outreach).

Genesis (Freshman) Care Group: Thursdays, 6 PM (Amanda Mauldin and Holly Harrison)
A great way to get to know other freshmen who are interested in strengthening their faith and making friends. This is a discussion-based, topical Bible study and all freshmen are welcome!

Non-freshmen Care Groups:
Mondays, 6 PM (Jenn Swords and Chris Wilkins)
Tuesdays, 4 PM (Callie Davenport and Britney Kocman)
Thursdays, 6:30 PM (Richard Locke and Andrew Brygelson)
This is a discussion-based, topical Bible study for all the non-freshmen. They are led by our student council at various times of the week so that at least one will fit your schedule. Any student is welcome to join any of these groups.

Men's Group Thursdays, 8 PM (Brandon Rodgers)
Men's group is a great chance for men to meet and hang out with great college students. From Xbox to BBQing at the lake we always have something to do Thursday at 8 PM. Come join us for fellowship!

Women's Group Thursdays, 8 PM (Britney Kocman)
Women's group is a great chance for our wild Wesley Women to meet and hang out with great college students. This new group has many fun and exciting activities planned for this year!
